After a year+ of researching the future of hyper-logistics, it’s so exciting to start building. Thank you to everyone who helped us get here and excited for what the rest of 2020 will bring. We will be sending out a newsletter periodically, never more than once every two weeks.
Updated Roadmap
We are updating our roadmap due to some positive advances we’ve made in the last couple of weeks:
Sept. 31st: Finalize 100m test tunnel construction
Oct. 20th: 75MPH test of scaled delivery bot prototype
DARPA Program
Last week we met with the Program Manager for the Underminer Project at DARPA. Underminer was awarded $6M to explore the feasibility of "rapidly constructing tactical tunnel networks that enable secure, responsive resupply [on the battlefield]".
During our conversation, it became apparent that the roadmap of PipeDream is already aimed to address technological and logistic problems that will be faced by the program. Additionally, the objectives of the program affirm both the need and the viability of ULS (underground logistics services). We also reviewed the scope and progress of the three currently funded teams working for the Underminer Project (GE, CO School of Mines, and Sandia National Labs) and believe our technology and strategy are far ahead of any other team in achieving a viable, future proof solution.

Recruiting: We are looking to bring on two key roles:
Mechanical Engineer
This person will be responsible for developing the driving engine of the tunneling drone. We are looking for someone who is passionate about robotics, iterative design, and prototyping. They will work on a team of mechanical engineers producing extremely high-quality hardware on groundbreaking (haha) robotic technology.
Growth
Only metric that matters to this person will be developing strategic partnerships and selling one-way routes. We are looking for someone who is relentlessly resourceful and comfortable with failure.
